The Homespun Garden was started in 1990, shortly after the birth of our youngest son. At that time, I did needlework while our baby was napping and sold it through a local gift shop. As the baby grew, so did the business. By the time he started kindergarten, my hobby had become a part-time business that worked out well, giving me work flexibility while raising a large family. Over the next couple of years, part time quickly became full time. All the while my husband, Tony, was with me doing the heavy lifting when we were doing craft shows throughout Texas. Our two daughters and two older sons are all grown now and our youngest son has left for college. And, yes, I am still doing needlework, and Tony is still very much my right hand man.
